"Hello! I’m Olaf, and I’m a Leader, Designer and Teacher"
Based in Enschede, The Netherlands, I study Creative Media and Game Technologies at Saxion UAS. While my primary focus is leadership, I'm well-versed in gamification, game design, testing methodologies, teaching, and HRM.
I love learning, not just about design, leadership, or education, but also many other subjects, such as (astro)physics, engineering, biology, medicine, new technologies, and psychology, just to name a few! With the theoretical knowledge I've obtained, I set out to put it to the test and teach others my findings. During projects, I often lead amazingly talented people and design the moment-to-moment gameplay, not to mention the overarching goals and marketing strategy.
When I am not working or learning, I can be found mountain biking, in the gym, or playing video games. The video games I play often have an element of design. In Cities: Skylines, we get to design a city and overcome its problems, and in Kerbal Space Program, the user needs an understanding of real-world physics and mechanics to create a functioning spaceship.
